AEPA Exam
The Arizona Educator Proficiency Assessments (AEPA) are administered to prospective educators who want to become certified to work in the Arizona public schools. The scoring procedures for the AEPA exam are the same for each type of test. Unofficial scores are available at 5 pm on the score reporting date, which is usually about a month after the test. This first report is not the official score report that will be mailed to schools and school districts, though there is typically no variation between this edition and the official score report.
AEPA exam scores are based on the number of questions answered correctly. The score report will begin by giving your test success status: passed or not passed. Your passing status is determined by your score on selected-response items combined with your score on any performance assignments. The raw score, which is the number of AEPA exam questions answered correctly, is converted scaled score ranging from 100 to 300. The minimum passing score is 240. If you pass the AEPA exam by scoring a 240 or higher, you are not provided your scaled score. If you don't pass, you are given your scaled score so that you can see how close you were to passing. Regardless of your passing status, you will get a graphic representation of your performance in each subject area of the AEPA exam. This will enable you to target areas in which you need to improve.
