SAT* Test Dates

Registering for SAT test dates is a relatively easy process. The SAT exam is offered seven times during the school year. For the 2006-07 school year, the SAT testing dates are October 14, November 4, December 2, January 27, March 10, May 5, and June 2. SAT registration must be completed by the following dates: September 12 for the October exam; September 29 for the November 4 exam; November 7 for the December 2 exam; December 26 for the January exam; February 2 for the March exam; April 3 for the May exam; and April 27 for the June exam. Late SAT test registration is possible, through a small fee will be charged. The SAT test dates for the 2007-08 school year are as follows: October 6, 2007; November 3, 2007; December 1, 2007; January 26, 2008; March 1, 2008; May 3, 2008; and June 7, 2008. If religious obligations present a student from taking the SAT test on a Saturday, the College Board allows for a Sunday administration. SAT test registration can be performed on-line at the College Board website. There, you will be allowed to choose your preferred testing location, although there is no guarantee that you will be placed at that location. Early SAT registration gives you the best chance of getting your preference in this first-come, first-served system. If you cannot register for the SAT exam on-line, you can register by mail. Either way, you will be required to fill out the SAT test questionnaire, which is designed to provide counselors and college admissions staff with the information they will need to serve you in the future. If you have registered for SAT test dates in the past and have already filled out the SAT test questionnaire, you will not need to fill out the entire form again. If after you register for the SAT test you decide that you want to change your test center, test date, or test type (that is, if you decide you want to take the SAT II, SAT II Math, or another of the SAT tests), you must contact the College Board no later than the Wednesday that is two-and-a-half weeks before the SAT test date.
