The CSET is a set of tests that assesses your knowledge and mastery of a particular subject matter. K-12 instructors in California will need to pass this examination in order to teach in California public institutions. The CSET Agriculture practice questions will give you a good idea about the kinds of questions that you can expect to see on the CSET Agriculture examination.
You’ll want to do your very best on the examination, so we’ll give you some information about what you can expect on your testing day. You can take the subtests separately, or you can take them all on the same day.
You can only take the CSET Agriculture test on a computer program at an official test center. The CSET Agriculture practice test consists of three subtests. Each subtest includes 40 multiple choice questions and 3 constructed-response questions.
CSET Agriculture test #172 practice test (subtest I) has 25 multiple choice questions on plant and soil science and 15 questions on ornamental horticulture, plus the constructed response questions.
CSET Agriculture test #173 practice test (subtest II) has 25 questions on animal science and 15 questions on environmental science and natural resource management, along with 3 constructed-response questions.
CSET Agriculture test #174 practice test (subtest III) consists of 20 multiple choice questions on agricultural business and economics and 20 multiple choice questions on agricultural systems technology, along with 3 constructed-response questions.
The test may also include questions that will be evaluated for a future test administration. These questions won’t affect your score at all. You will be allowed 1 hour and 45 minutes for each subtest or 5 hours and 15 minutes if you choose to take all three subtests in one session.
You will have plenty of time. You will also have an additional 15 minutes of time to complete a nondisclosure agreement and view a tutorial. Be aware that the time does not stop if you need to take a break. Use these practice tests to help you get a passing score. You will need to get a score of 220 in order to pass the test. Your test results will be released within 7 weeks of your test date.
